At Calm Home Canine, we understand how debilitating separation anxiety can be. How hard it is to leave your home, even if it’s to just get the groceries or a cup of coffee. In order to do this, you have to have the confidence to leave your pup. Maybe you don't know where to start in your training, or how to go about it. You may feel isolated or trapped within your home. 

I also understand how upsetting it is for another suggestion to fail. This is why we specialized in separation anxiety training, and are dedicated to help you and your pup get through this.

Every dog is unique and requires a personalized training plan. I work with each owner to develop a plan that fit their dog's specific needs and goals. I work with dog's to overcome their fears of being home alone and become confident and well-behaved pets. As well as working with you, the pet parent, on how to become confident in your training's and leaving your pet home alone.

As a SA Pro trainer, I have completed & passed the required certification course and training to provide the best possible care for your dog. I am dedicated to using only positive reinforcement, and behavioral modification techniques to ensure your dog is happy, calm and fear-free.

Why I chose SA Training

Hi! My name is Lisa. I am a Certified SA Pro Trainer & Behavior Consultant. 

I am also certified in canine training & behavior outside of SA, but I focus on SA training. 

Before all this I became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. 

 

I learned that canine behavior and training is where my heart is and decided to grow within the field.

I have experience with separation anxiety as my own dog has had it for years. She is attached to my hip, ever since the day I brought her home at 6 months old. When I became a certified dog trainer I realized that there were options out there for my pup that I didn't know about and I got to work to become a certified SA dog trainer & behavior consultant. 


My goal is to help you, the pet parents gain some freedom by teaching your dog how to cope and to show your pup how to be fear free being home alone. 

Training sessions & packages

How Training works

Agreement

You will have to make a commitment  to your dog, that you will not leave him/her alone for longer than they can handle at a time. If you do not work from home, I can explain some other options to make your dog more comfortable while away during the training.

For SA Training, I do recommend a minimum of 4 weeks, to get a foundation set for training. It will be a gradual process because anxiety is complex. 

Where is it done?

SA Training is done best remotely within your own home. You will need a phone, tablet or laptop. I will also ask that you have an indoor camera set up, to monitor your dog during training sessions. Don't worry about being tech savvy, you don't have to be a professional with technology for this to work. It's super simple, plus I will help you through it all. 

What is included in the trainings?

Dependent of the package you choose, either 4 week or 8 week you will have live sessions with me, weekly training plans for you to do on your own time in between our check-in session, access to contact me whenever you need & weekly feedback on training sessions you perform. You will also have access to data & progress reports of your trainings via an app I will discuss more during our intake session. 

What if I just have some questions ?

If you are unsure if your dog actually has separation anxiety, I would be more than happy to discuss what you are experiencing, to get a better idea of whats going on. If your dog is already diagnosed with Separation anxiety but you can not commit to a package, you can book a 90 minute long consult to discuss some recommendations for your current training plan.

Pricing

8 week program

$650

With this package we will have weekly zoom meetings to go over the previous weeks training plan to adjust it accordingly to set your pet up for success & you will receive new weekly training plans at the end of each session for a total of 8 weeks. This also includes the consult for the first zoom session. 

4 Week Program

$450

This package is very similar to the 8 weeks package, except we won’t have meetings as much.  We will have meetings via zoom throughout the 4 weeks to go over the training plans to adjust it accordingly to set your pet up for success. You will receive new training plans each week for a total of 4 weeks. This also includes the initial consult fee.

Consult

$200

A 2 hour zoom meeting to talk and get to know you and your pet. We will discuss separation anxiety and where to start.  At the end you will receive a training plan to begin with. 

Follow Up Session

$150

If you’re not ready to commit to a package, no worries ! You can book follow up session where we can assess how your pet is doing and what the next steps would be.
